Get started with Fiberplane in 4 steps

1. Download the fpd and Providers

Choose your architecture and download the files. Keep them in a single folder (simply unzip the file).

*Downloads both the fpd executable and the zipped providers

Connect and query your data sources securely. Download and run Fiberplane Daemon (fpd) locally or install it in your cluster.

2. Create a data_sources.yaml file

Create a data_sources.yaml configuration file in the same folder as the fpd binary. Using the format below add the data sources you want to connect Fiberplane with:

  description: Prometheus (Production)
  providerType: prometheus
  config:
    # Replace the following line with your Prometheus URL
    url: http://prometheus

3. Create an fpd token

If you haven’t - sign up to a Fiberplane account at fiberplane.com.

Create an fpd token in the Settings > fpd menu or, if you have the CLI installed, run:

Install the CLI with one command:

curl https://fp.dev/install.sh | sh

Create a Proxy API token:

fp daemon create

4. Run the fpd

Run the fpd executable passing in the previously created token as an argument.

./fpd --token <FPD_API_TOKEN>
