Get started with Fiberplane in 4 steps

1. Download the Proxy and Providers

Choose your architecture and download the files. Keep them in a single folder (simply unzip the file).

Proxy & Providers

*Downloads both the Proxy executable and the zipped providers

Connect and query your data sources securely. Download and run Fiberplane Proxy locally or install it in your cluster.

2. Create a data_sources.yaml file

Create a data_sources.yaml configuration file in the same folder as the Proxy binary. Using the format below add the data sources you want to connect Fiberplane with:

# data_sources.yaml

- name: prometheus-prod
  description: Prometheus (Production)
  providerType: prometheus
  config:
    # Replace the following line with your Prometheus URL
    url: http://prometheus

3. Create a Proxy token

If you haven’t - sign up to a Fiberplane account at fiberplane.com.

Create a Proxy token in the Settings > Proxies menu or, if you have the CLI installed, run:

Install the CLI with one command:

curl https://fp.dev/install.sh | sh

Create a Proxy API token:

fp proxies create

4. Run the Proxy

Run the Proxy executable passing in the previously created token as an argument.

./proxy --token <PROXY_API_TOKEN>
